Mercer Nonprofits Get Grants From Princeton Area Community Foundation

The Princeton Area Community Foundation has awarded $2 million in grants to more than 60 nonprofits in the region, including a $115,000 grant to Arm in Arm to prevent evictions in Trenton, NJ, the Star-Ledger reports.

"These nonprofits are doing impactful work in region, helping the most vulnerable among us," the foundation's CEO says in a statement.

The grants were awarded in Community Impact and COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund grants.

The largest grants went to Trenton Children's Chorus, which will use the money to provide after-school and after-school music lessons, as well as academic coaching and an after-school choir, and Capital Harmony Works, which will use the money to fund programs including music lessons, after-school music lessons, and an after-school choir.

"We are able to award these grants thanks to generous donors who have created funds over the last 30 years to support our community grantmaking and leadership," the foundation's CEO says.
